Donna Sheridan is the mother of Sophie and the wife of Sam. Donna once was one of the three members of a band called Donna and the Dynamos with her two best friends Rosie and Tanya. She owns a hotel called Villa Donna on the greek island of Kalokairi.

In Money, Money, Money, Donna explains her precarious finances to Rosie and Tanya. In Mamma Mia, Donna explains how much pain her former lovers caused her but at the same time how easily she can come to temptation.
